The last two spots I will wait once we get a definite direction on the theme.

Tom, you don't have to wait for a theme to manifest within our group.

Run with your interpretation of theme, based on the descrition on Substrata site.


Don't wait on us. Especially since most of us are working on independent takes on the dark fantasy theme.

Of the images you posted, 1 & 4 stand out most to me. #1 because it starts to evoke the dark fantasy feel, and #4 because it has a contemporary feel, which is interesting to me, because of the approach I'm taking on my dark fantasy world.

I think it would be interesting to see some sort of merging if the two.

Over all I'd love to see you push them further. Definitely a good direction.

Perhaps a dark futuristic feel.

I just did the bottom two. Any thoughts?

Here are some ideas that I had. It started out as a simple drawing and it turned into several ideas that just came to me.

I'm sure it's my monitor at home, but these are so light I can barely make them out. Am I the only one?

yeah I just checked it from work and they are light. At home they look just fine.

I did a quick series of layer-multiplies to darken this up, sorry it turned out so blown out:

Im going to start doing the illustrator work next.
