Re: Brandon Batterson - Enemies
This is a good start. They very much remind me of the old Creepy and Eerie comics.
It would be good to see these resolved as full figures, and to push the designs so they feel less familiar. For instance play with the ratio of the spider guy. Right now he feels 50% human and 50% spider. What if he were 70% spider, how might that change and influence the design.

Cool, will do. I was thinking that guy as a spider-centaur type.

Great Start, Love the construction drawing under the pencil.
They reminds me 80's Saturday morning cartoon show characters.
I'm very interested to see entire figures drawn out like Jason say and in more dynamic poses.
If you have time, try some expressive faces to see how you could push their emotions.
Most of the ones here have neutral facial expression.
Take a paper over them and draw them in much more sinister smile, Screaming or angry face as you could push.
For example, Wider eyes and extended mouth open, showing crazed teeth and tongue.
It will help the character more alive and diverse. ^^

Spider Centaur and Muck Man are pretty great, I love the Scooby Doo vibe that Muck Man has. He feels a lot like a throwback Kirby monster.

I agree, I feel a Scooby Doo vibe. But spiders are always scary...

Awesome Job! Scary to the Max.
For mud monster, is he melting or rain drop on his body.
To me he looks like has smooth body and water is dripping of from him.
I wonder what your thoughts on what he is made of. Vines? Muddy Clay? Stone?

Re: Brandon Batterson - Enemies
I read that as "swamp scum," like whatever the freshwater version of seaweed is

Seung / Max - He's going to be made up of mud and vines. I need to play around with it a bit to avoid it just looking like a Swamp Thing rip off. I'm mainly trying to get a good silhouette I like for him before spending to much time on details. The stuff on is shoulders is muck and algae collected from coming out of the water.

I really like how the spider is coming along. I remember in the previous sketch where the man half met the spider half was kinda wonky, but it looks a lot more naturally unnatural now!

Re: Brandon Batterson - Enemies
Nice to see more development on these! I think it would be cool to see a version of the spider guy where his arms were more spider like and less human. It might also be cool to combine different spider types, maybe he has some sort of element like this,
to combine with the tarantula vibe you currently have.
Nice to see the progress!
